I’m so happy I’m finally posting this. Before you read on, I just wanted to say that this post is sooo off the wall and scrambled thoughts. I apologize!!! So on the trip to NYC, we had to bring two SD cards and they were completely full… both of them. So be prepared to see like 20 pictures every post from now until Christmas time. Like I said in previous posts, I’m such a visual person so looking at pictures is like my total weakness! The other day, I spent at least TWO hours looking at dog and cats cuddling together….yeah.

Annnyways, Kyle and I got really lucky when we went to NYC. It was cooler in the morning and throughout the day, it got warmer but not too hot where you’d sweat your makeup off… which is a great day for me. And the tree were sooo pretty and colorful. So we went to the 9/11 memorial in the morning and oh my goodness… the emotion being there was unbelievable. I kept talking about how crazy it is that the events happened 15 years ago. It’s heartbreaking but I loved being able to see the memorial in memory and honor of those who lost their lives. I was obsessed with the flowers and roses that people placed on the names. It was really special. Last time I visited the city, they were in the middle of making the memorial and Freedom Tower so seeing it completely finished in person was really cool. After we left the memorial, we went exploring around some more and wanted to find a local New York restaurant. I don’t remember what the restaurant was called but it was sooo good.

You can’t go to New York without going to see The Statue of Liberty but since we were on a time crunch, going on the boat to see the statue was a no go. We saw the statue and it was totally side ways from the view we were at but still, we saw it! We ended up going to Battery Park and it was so much fun. The park also had a sea glass carousal which I wanted to go on but the line was so long. Along with the carousal, they had another memorial But I definitely recommend going to Battery Park if you’re in the area!

I honestly feel like this post is all over the place and I’m so sorry for it but I’m just so excited to relive the weekend again! I think that is what I love most about photography and posting, it’s the memories that go along with it! I’m excited to post more about the trip. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks for sticking around and reading all of this jumbled mess haha!

After over a month, I have returned. I took a little bit of a hiatus, but I’ll explain why. Sometimes as a blogger (and human) you have to find yourself. I spent some time rebuilding myself and I’ve never felt more creative and motivated. I am very passionate about everything I do, ya know, blogging included, therefor I needed to refresh and revise. I feel so good about this little break taken. As it’s only been a few months, I feel great about what’s to come. Uninspired content is never fun! And blogging is 100% something fun for me. I never want this to become a “chore”. As I was uninspired, it was better for me to take a break rather than making crappy content that like NO ONE wants to read.

I’ve decided to list 10 things that’s happened within this hiatus.

1. I went to one of my favorite cities!!

2. I made another travel diary

3. I’m starting to LOVE editing videos along with blogging

4. THE ELECTION IS OVER!! (I try and keep political opinions to myself but I am so glad it’s just OVER!)

5. I’m taking vitamins and drinking more water to stay healthy

6. I was able to create new content and ideas for the blog 💡

7. I went running (I mean, it was only for a few days, and I ran for like a minute, but that counts, right?)

8. My aunt got engaged!!!!

9. I learned new recipes

10. I bought new Kylie lip kits (oh my god matte liquid lipstick is my new obsession)

As many more things happened, making lists is kind of hard. Thanks to whoever stuck around. Like I said, I went to NYC and took waaay too many pictures! I am so excited to share it all with you. But for now, only my travel diary from New York City is uploaded above. Thanks for sticking around. xx

DRESS: Similar Here  / SHOES: Converse /  BAG: Coach

I’ve always been obsessed with stripes.  To the point where I would have 10 striped shirts. Whenever my mom and I would go shopping, I’d pick up a striped shirt and she’d say “don’t you have that shirt already?!” My response was always, “it’s different, I swear!” Now, the shirts were different but still stripes. Like I said, I’m obsessed. I found this dress two years ago and forgot about it in my closet. I decided to go super casual because it was super hot and I was gonna ride in a car for 5 hours. Since it was hot, I did not want hair all in my face, so I decided to go out in public with pig tail braids. No  going to lie, I wear these braids around the house all of the time. But I’ve never been out in public with them because I always felt like a little kid with them. I use to wear my hair in braids all of the time when I was younger. So now that the style is back, I’m in different about the way I look with them in. But anyways, I am happy that I decided to do this because my hair wasn’t wrapped around my neck and it didn’t look … too … bad. 😉 I mean I had the frizz but there was no helping that.  But now, these braids are starting to grow on me. I’m always looking for new braids to try out because I’m obsessed with them. If I don’t know how to do my hair, it’ll most likely be in a braid or bun. If you know of any braids that I should try, link them in the comment section below so I can recreate the looks. I’m always eager to learn these things!!!

That’s all for today, I’ll be relaxing on my day off!! Woooooh! I hope everyone has a no labor, Labor Day! . Let me know if you did anything fun this weekend and what clothing style is your go – to like stripes or polka dots or something, I’d love to know! Thanks for reading! Xox
