When I was about 14 years old I wanted to open my first Etsy shop selling bracelets. (I’ve always been adventurous and wanted to open multiple businesses growing up, including running a nail salon from my backyard…) As I never opened my “shop” and sold any bracelets, I gave some to friends and family. They really enjoyed making them but as I got older and busier I got, the harder it was to keep making bracelets. So, I ditched the idea of selling bracelets online and enjoyed the bracelets I made. I still wear those bracelets too! I was that kid that wore about 10 bracelets a day (yeah, I have many embarrassing pictures to prove it) and I LOVED them. Well, the older I got, the more I realized how it’s pretty difficult to function with that many bracelets on and wore 2 or 3. Now what I normally wear is a few bracelets and a watch. I was really excited when I found Boho-Betty and they sold the bracelets similar to what I use to make! (as fun as it was making them, oh my goodness it is so much easier having them sent to your door already made. 😉 ) and they are so. stinking. cute!!!
Boho-Betty is offering Carefree Blonde readers 20% off their purchasewhen you use code CAREFREEBLONDE! Which is pretty awesome because their bracelets really are the best, once you try them you really can’t go back to wearing anything else! I think bracelets are a great Christmas gift to friends/family, especially if you’re at a loss of what to get someone! And super great stocking stuffer because they’re small enough where you can fill it up more 😉 ! I wore my bracelets all around New York and I got so many compliments on them! Too bad it just got super cold at night that I had to cover my hands (does anyone else cover their hands with their long sleeve shirts when their cold?!) walking around because I forgot to bring a jacket… so unfortunately you couldn’t see the bracelets anymore. I literally wear them all of the time. The great thing is that they have so many categories to shop from. So if you have more of an edgy style, they have a certain bracelet for you and vise versa!
Below I’ll list a few of my favorites! Happy Shopping! Let me know your favorites!

The coolest things about New York City is that you can just walk around the block and end up being somewhere you planned on going to see. Kyle and I were planning to see the Flat Iron building after we went back to our hotel to change and such and we just happened to walk passed the Flat Iron on the way back and I thought it’s the coolest thing ever. We had no idea we were near it so it was neat to stumble upon it. Of course we had to model in front of it. It’s taken a while to get comfortable in front of the camera again. When I was little, I was never camera shy and jumped all around when my photo was being taken, even in high school, when people were taking my picture, I was all for it. It’s not that I’m super shy about having my picture taken, it’s the “modeling poses” I do that make me embarrassed because I feel silly sometimes! I’ve gotten so comfortable with Kyle behind the camera that I don’t even notice it anymore. Even with people around, I don’t mind them looking. In a post here, my mom took my photos and I was so nervous. It was so weird having her take my pictures, but after a while, I warmed up. I guess it all just takes some getting use too props to real models though, they’ve got that stuff nailed down.
I love taking pictures though (which is a huge part on my I made a blog. To share photos with family and to look back on blog posts since I never post on facebook anymore.) I find it to be such a fun hobby as I’m no where near a professional but in my free time, it’s a blast. I really want to improve my photo skills and learn more information about how to use my camera. I’m also really interested in making my photos better. Especially with the editing. When I’m at school, I edit my photos on my iPad and I really don’t like the way they turn out most of the time. It’s more of a lazy way I edit when I don’t want to turn on my desktop ha. I feel like the photos don’t look as good as they could be. So if anyone has any recommendations of photo editing software or apps or anything, please let me know! I’m always open to improvements!
So I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. I’m so ready for Christmas now I can’t take it! I’m definitely feeling the Christmas spirit this year. I woke up thanksgiving day listening to Christmas music. I can’t help it. In the car, Christmas music is constantly playing. Im turning into that person now haha! Let me know how your thanksgiving was, I’m not even bummed about eating all of the leftovers. Thanksgiving food is my favorite!! Have a great Monday & thanks for reading!
Out of all of the places visited, this certain place in Central Park is my absolute FAVORITE place in all of New York City. I never heard of Sheep’s Meadow until a few months ago and decided to check it out. It was honestly the best decision that we made. I literally always think about going back to this very moment in time because I always want to relive it. Seriously, I cannot tell you how amazing it was. Guess that means you need to go check it out yourself 😉 we went when the sun was just about to set and New York did not disappoint on the sunset that day. These pictures really don’t give the sky justice; it was breathtaking. I love how busy it is and that everyone is out on the lawn playing music, throwing frisbee’s, taking naps, having picnics, doing yoga, hanging out with friends.. etc. Everyone is doing their own thing and as cheesy as it sounds, everyone is so happy! You just can’t NOT be happy with that view in New York City. It was so nice laying on the lawn (totally forgot to bring a blanket) and watch the sunset and look at the buildings. I don’t have as many pictures as I thought I would have gotten but I really don’t mind. I was living in the moment which was really nice. We just put the cameras and phones away and just gazed. It was the perfect end to the day.
But oh my goodness, tmi but don’t go to Central Park expecting NOT to get pooped on by birds. We walked out of the park and sat on a bench to figure out what to do next and a bird pooped on Kyle’s head!!! I literally couldn’t stop laughing. I went to get water and napkins to clean it off him and while I was cleaning it off him, ONE POOPED ON ME. I seriously couldn’t stop laughing. We got cleaned up and decided it was a great idea to go to all of the high dollar store, like Tiffany’s and Gucci, etc. Makes total sense, right haha!
If you ever get the chance, please please please go visit Sheep’s Meadow. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to go to in NY for sure. All I want to do is transport back to this moment! I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so happy to eat and eat and eat! Thanks for reading.
