Happy July!! I can’t believe it’s already July. The year of 2016 has gone by soo freaking fast.  I guess that just happens the older you get. 😉  Yesterday, my parents and I took a little road trip to Charleston, South Carolina. For as long as I’ve lived in the south, I’ve never been there. And I’m sooo happy we went. It’s one of the cutest, historic towns. It reminds me a bit of New Orleans… just with less bars haha. I’m such an old home freak. Like, I’m obsessed with old houses. The tall ceilings, huge porches, to the wood floors, I could die over it. It probably comes from me living in an older house my entire life too.  I’ve come to the conclusion, if I can’t find a fixer upper home when I’m searching the market, I’ll build a house that looks old… with the tall ceilings, huge porches and wood floors. It makes perfect sense, right? ha. But Charleston is really a lovely place. Of course, being by the harbor is perfect for those homes to have extremely vibrant colors… which I could DIE over!! On my snapchat story, I literally gawked at the stoops and color of the houses. (I’ll take my old looking newly built home in pink please!)  It’s the little things, I swear.  I find that colorful houses are just the cutest things ever. I can’t help it. For someone who loves to wear black (guilty as charged…) I sure love vibrant homes. Something about it just makes me happy.  That and flowers. haha. I sure do love finding historic towns in the south. It’s amazing how old the houses are and that they’ve been standing since the 1800’s. Pretty neat if you ask me. Another post on Charleston is coming soon! I swear I’ll get my blog post on some sort of schedule… still working somethings out! Thanks so much for reading. Let me know what is your favorite historic place to visit?

Sounds like you had an amazing time with your family and yes, the old southern homes have a great deal of charm and history. If only the walls could talk! What a story they would tell!
    Happy 4th.
